Job summary

Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center invites applications for an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) to deliver pre-hospital and trauma care in accordance with state and federal laws. This on-site EMS position supports HANCO EMS as a primary 911 provider for the community.

The role requires Ohio AEMT certification, CPR, a valid driver's license, and ongoing training in ITLS/PHTLS, NIMS, and HazMat awareness to ensure readiness for patients of all ages and conditions.

Qualifications

• Ohio State AEMT certification required.
• Reciprocity accepted for out-of-state AEMTs.
• CPR certification within 30 days.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record per policy.
• ITLS or PHTLS certification within 6 months.
• NIMS IS-100/200/700/800 within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-hospital and trauma care within certification scope.
• Accurate run documentation and patient confidentiality.
• Record data into the Ohio State Reporting program.
• Restock supplies and return equipment after calls.
• Sanitize and disinfect transport vehicle and equipment.
• Participate in monthly training and CEU classes.
• Perform daily and weekly vehicle inspections and know equipment locations.
• Assist in building/grounds maintenance.
