Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System in Findlay, Ohio seeks a Paramedic to deliver pre-hospital and trauma care within the scope of their certification. The role requires adherence to medical protocols and state/federal laws, and to participate in scene surveys, triage, stabilization, treatment, and transport.

You will maintain reports, restock equipment, sanitize vehicles, and participate in monthly trainings to keep certifications current.

Qualifications

• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• ACLS within 30 days from start date.
• CPR for Healthcare Providers (BLS/CPR) within 30 days.
• Valid driver's license; meet BVHS fleet and insurer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-hospital and trauma care within certification scope.
• Perform scene surveys, triage, stabilization, treatment, and transport.
• Complete run reports accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Record data into Ohio State Reporting program.
• Restock supplies and ensure equipment is returned after calls.
• Sanitize and disinfect transport vehicle and equipment as needed.
• Participate in debriefings and ongoing training.
• Keep up with updates in pre-hospital procedures and regulations.
• Attend monthly trainings/CEU to maintain licensure.
• Perform daily/weekly vehicle inspections and know equipment locations.
• Be proficient in operation of equipment on each response vehicle.
• Participate in building/grounds maintenance.
