Job summary

CSL is seeking qualified medical staff to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and to provide essential care for donors and staff according to licensure. You will interview donors, review medical histories, and collaborate with the Center Medical Director on donor questions and eligibility.

This role involves reviewing test results, counseling donors on reactive findings, and escalating critical cases to a physician as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• If graduation is from a foreign medical school, must be licensed or state-certified as EMT.
• Current state licensure or certification as RN/MD/DO where you work or reciprocal state may be required.
• Minimum of one year relevant experience in a healthcare environment.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center preferred.
• Ability to assess physical heart and lung sounds and detect signs of drug use.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure or certification.
• Interview donors and review medical histories to determine donor suitability.
• Consult with Center Medical Director on donor questions and donor suitability.
• Review test results and assess donor symptoms for continued donation eligibility.
• Notify and counsel donors on reactive test results and refer for follow-up as needed.
• Provide routine care following SOPs; escalate critical medical situations to physicians.
