Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a qualified clinical professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis and provide limited emergency medical care in a plasma collection setting.

You will interview donors, review medical histories, and assess test results to determine continued suitability while counseling on reactive findings and referring donors as needed. Collaboration with the Center Medical Director ensures safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• If graduation is from a foreign allopathic or osteopathic medical school, must also currently be licensed as a physician or state certification as an emergency medical technician.
• For NY: licensure/certification as RN, MD or DO in the state of application or reciprocal state.
• Minimum of one year relevant experience in a health care environment.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or similar regulated environment preferred.
• Ability to perform and analyze physical assessments (heart, lung sounds, signs of drug use).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis under supervision.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews.
• Collaborate with Center Medical Director to address donor questions.
• Review test results and determine continued donor suitability.
• Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results and referrals.
• Follow SOPs and escalate critical cases to a Center Physician or local services.
