Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Waite Park, MN is hiring a Medical Support Specialist/Paramedic to determine donor eligibility, assess adverse events, review tests, and notify donors of results. This role reports to the Center Manager and collaborates with the Center Physician for medical issues, ensuring compliance with plasma collection regulations.

Qualified candidates will hold EMT licensure (B/A/I/P) or RN/LPN, have current CPR/AED, and meet state IV therapy requirements.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified in the state of responsibilities: EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN or RN.
• Current CPR and AED certification required.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including consent, history, and selection criteria.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer complex issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage occupational health incidents and coordinate with EHS.
