Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist in Waite Park, MN to determine donor eligibility, review laboratory results, and manage donor safety under the Center Manager and Center Physician. This role supports regulatory compliance and participates in vaccination programs and EHS initiatives.

You will work in a plasma-donation environment, with on-site leadership and a patient-focused culture, and will require state licensure and ongoing FDA-mandated training.

Qualifications

• State-licensed or certified in the responsibility state: EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN
• CPR and AED certification current
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
• Complete FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history interview, and eligibility review.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and medical emergencies as applicable.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for findings or guidance on medical/technical issues.
• Support vaccination programs (Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu) for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS as needed.
• Potential Pandemic Coordinator role as authorized by EHS and Medical Affairs.
