Job summary

Essentia Health in Minnesota is expanding EMS services and seeks dedicated Paramedics and EMTs to join the Destination Superior launch, delivering high-quality care across Twin Ports communities.

Positions involve shifts across day/evening/night with rotation, and require Minnesota/Wisconsin licensure, BCLS/ACLS/PALS, and strong pre-hospital expertise. Great benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• State licensure/certification as a Paramedic or RN authorized to operate as a Paramedic.
• Dual Minnesota/Wisconsin licensure for Wisconsin locations.
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification required at time of hire.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required at time of hire.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification or must obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Valid motor vehicle operator's license as verified by licensing agency.
• Meets driving requirements acceptable to Essentia Health's insurer.
• State background check must provide clearance to work with vulnerable adults.

Education Qualifications

• No education requirement
• This position is a part of our I-35 Regional EMS and Superior operations, with report to work locations in Moose Lake, Pine City, Hinckley, Superior, and Sandstone. ***

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Responds to an emergent and non-emergent calls &/or hospital codes
• Provides Medical Support & Care for Patients in the pre-hospital and/or hospital environment
• Assists in the ongoing assessment of patients by identifying the patient's needs and requirements to determine best course of treatment
• Provides advanced medical care and basic life support service to patients using appropriate medical equipment, devices and treatment modalities

Licensure/Certification Qualifications

• State licensure/certification as a Paramedic or a Registered Nurse authorized to operate as a Paramedic in the appropriate state of practice.
• All Wisconsin location staff must be dual licensed in Minnesota and Wisconsin
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification required at time of hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification required at time of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification (or must obtain within 6 months of hire)
• Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license as verified through appropriate licensing agency
• Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health 's insurer
