Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking qualified EMS professionals to join the Superior EMS team. The role involves responding to emergent calls, delivering pre-hospital and hospital care, and performing patient assessments to guide treatment decisions.

Requirements include Paramedic or RN licensure, WI/MN dual licensing, BCLS/ACLS, PALS (within 6 months), a valid driver's license, and passing a state background check.

Qualifications

• State licensure/certification as a Paramedic or a Registered Nurse authorized to operate as a Paramedic in the appropriate state of practice.
• All Wisconsin location staff must be dual licensed in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required at time of hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (or must obtain within 6 months of hire).
• Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license as verified through appropriate licensing agency.
• Must meet driving requirements acceptable to Essentia Health's insurer.
• State background check must provide clearance to work with vulnerable adults.

$5,000 - 7,500 sign on bonus with this position! For eligible candidates only.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Responds to an emergent and non-emergent calls &/or hospital codes
• Provides Medical Support & Care for Patients in the pre-hospital and/or hospital environment
• Assists in the ongoing assessment of patients by identifying the patient's needs and requirements to determine best course of treatment
• Provides advanced medical care and basic life support service to patients using appropriate medical equipment, devices and treatment modalities

Schedule: Two 18-hour shifts OR one 24-hour shift + one 12-hour shift per week

Licensure/Certification Qualifications

• State licensure/certification as a Paramedic or a Registered Nurse authorized to operate as a Paramedic in the appropriate state of practice.
