You will provide high-quality patient care under physician delegation, perform advanced clinical skills, and support a busy ED with up to 200 patients/day. Paramedic (EMT-P) Emergency Department

Fast-paced, high volume Emergency Department is looking for top skilled Paramedic. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health HEB, 1600 Hospital Parkway in Bedford, TX 76022.

Work hours: Full Time, Night Shift (7p to 7a), 3 shifts, 36 hours per week.Weekend and holiday requirements. Complete benefits available.

What You Will Do

Provides Safe Patient CareUnder Physician Delegation:

• Administers IV fluid without additives, saline flush, IV antibiotics, all IV medications excluding controlled and RSI medications. ACLS drugs (including drips) using barcode medication verification (BMV) during medication administrations. All IM and oral medications excluding controlled drugs.
• Plans the care of the patient
• Completes accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Provides consistent attention to airway, intake, elimination, sleep, rest, mobility and hygiene needs
• Applies antiembolic stockings and sequential compression devices
• Cervical collar management
• External defibrillation
• Nasal cannula or oxygen mask application
• Oral airway insertion and removal
• Ultrasound-guided peripheral IV Access
• Draw blood from ports
• Other duties as assigned by the care team
