Job summary

Methodist Hospital in Texas seeks an experienced Emergency Department Paramedic to join our care team. You will participate in CQI projects, maintain clinical competence, and ensure accurate documentation while representing the facility’s Mission, Vision and Values.

Strong communication using SBAR is essential, with meetings and in-services as required. Two years EMS field or hospital experience, Texas Paramedic licensure, EMT-P and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Current certification/licensure in Texas as a Paramedic; EMT-P required.
• BLS Healthcare Provider must be current at start date.
• Minimum 2 years of field Paramedic EMS or hospital clinical experience.
• ACLS within 90 days; BLS within 30 days; PALS within 30 days.
• EMP, no travel required.

Qualifications

• Education: Current certification/Licensure in the State of Texas as a Paramedic. EMT‑P required. Current BLS Healthcare Provider.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a field Paramedic with an EMS agency and/or clinical experience working in a hospital.
• Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Emergency Medical Paramedic (EMP), No Travel Required
