Job summary

Methodist Southwest Medical Center in Dallas seeks an Emergency Medicine Specialist to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ED. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support direct patient care and enhance the patient experience.

The role requires a Texas EMT-P certification, BLS; ACLS preferred, and a background as a paramedic with hospital or pre-hospital experience; assume a key role in emergency department operations and patient flow.

Qualifications

  • Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
  • Texas EMT-P certification (license required).
  • PALS recommended.
  • 1 year as a paramedic in pre-hospital or hospital setting; 2 years EMT-P preferred.

Job Description :

In this highly technical, fast-paced, and rewarding position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for patients. The Emergency Medicine Specialist assists with direct patient care to provide support services to the patients, families and other Emergency Department staff.

Your Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification required; Advanced Cardio Life Support preferred
  • Current Texas EMT-P certification (license required)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support recommended
  • 1 year as a paramedic in pre-hospital or hospital setting;2 years experience as EMT-P (preferred)
