Job summary

Orlando Health Sebastian River Hospital in Sebastian, FL, seeks a Paramedic to provide advanced patient care in the Emergency Department and related units. You will perform invasive procedures, manage airway and trauma care, and document assessments under supervision to ensure patient safety and quality care.

The role requires completion of a Florida Paramedic program with PMD certification, current BLS and ACLS, and PALS within one year if applicable.

Qualifications

• Completed Paramedic program and state certification.
• Current Florida Paramedic PMD certification.
• Active BLS/Healthcare Provider and ACLS; PALS required within one year if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care with advanced skills in ED/ICU/Respiratory as directed by Medical Director.
• Adheres to Florida paramedic practice guidelines and hospital protocols.
• Communicates patient status clearly to RN, RT, and ED/CC staff; documents care per guidelines.
• Administers medications safely within education and credentialing boundaries.
• Assists with patient transfer processes and timely admissions/discharges.
• Maintains patient safety, infection control, and department organization.
