Qualifications

• Paramedic program completed.
• State of Florida Paramedic (PMD) certification with biennial renewal.
• Current BLS healthcare provider certification.
• Current ACLS certification; plus PALS within 1 year if appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care with advanced skills in ED/ICU/Respiratory settings.
• Communicates patient information to RN/RT/ED or Critical Care personnel; documents care.
• Maintains patient safety, infection control and safe handling of hazardous materials.
• Prioritizes tasks to ensure patient comfort, safety and progress toward goals.
• Administers medications within education guidelines and competencies.
• Supports patient movement and timely admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Maintains regular attendance and compliance with Orlando Health policies.
