Job summary

Orlando Health in Florida seeks a licensed Paramedic to provide and document patient care in the Emergency Department, including airway management, IV access, ECG interpretation and trauma support under hospital protocols.

Required are completion of a Paramedic program, Florida PMD certification, and ongoing BLS/ACLS; PALS must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Prior experience is not required, but reliability and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed a Paramedic program.
• Current Florida PMD Paramedic certification renewed every 2 years.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare provider certification.
• Maintains current ACLS certification.
• Must obtain and maintain PALS certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care requiring advanced skills and judgment in the Emergency Department as directed by the Nursing Operations manager or designee.
• Care scope does not exceed Florida paramedic practice limits.
• Communicates patient condition to the Nursing Operations manager or designee.
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with Orlando Health policies.
• Performs duties while ensuring patient safety and rights.
• Supports department readiness and proper stocking and safety in the ED.
