Job summary

You will practice under Florida paramedic guidelines, communicate status to supervisors, and maintain ED safety, cleanliness, and stock. Training includes required BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications with ongoing compliance.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed a Paramedic program.
• Florida Paramedic PMD certification required (renewed every 2 years).
• Maintains current BLS/HC provider certification; ACLS required; PALS within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers advanced patient care in the Emergency Department as directed by Nursing Operations manager or designee within approved paramedic competency.
• Ensures care aligns with Florida paramedic practice model and hospital protocols.
• Communicates patient condition and status to the Nursing Operations manager or designee; maintains punctual attendance and policy compliance.
• Maintains ED readiness: cleanliness, organization, stocking; ensures patient rights and regulatory standards are met.
• Demonstrates age-specific patient assessment and care in accordance with department policies and competencies.
