Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited EMS program.
• EMT-Paramedic licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Documents information/procedures and promptly communicates observations to the licensed clinician.
• Under supervision, prepares and administers medications and may operate ventilators.
• Assists physician with bedside procedures as applicable.
• Provides emergency assistance under clinician direction.
• Notifies RN or physician of changes in patient condition.
• Supports and reinforces teaching and documents in medical record.
• Handles daily patient charges/procedures through EHR.
• Collaborates with physicians; coordinates all forms of patient communications (phone, Verbal, paging, EMS).
• Maintains clean, safe work environment per safety policies.
• Cleans, maintains and troubleshoots equipment; arranges major repairs.
• Positioning and transporting tasks with proper technique.
• Shows age-appropriate care abilities per department standards.
