Job summary

Advocate Health is hiring for an Emergency Department role at Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee. The position is Full Time with mid-shift, rotating holidays and weekends, featuring 12-hour shifts starting at 11am.

The team collaborates with physicians and nurses to deliver critical care and ensure smooth patient flow. Required are EMT Paramedic licensure and EMS program completion, with BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications to be obtained within 6 months per leadership.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited EMS program.
• Typically 1 year of paramedic experience or related clinical work.
• EMT Paramedic license required with state issuance.

Responsibilities

• Document information and communicate patient observations to the licensed clinician.
• Prepare and administer medications under clinician supervision; operate ventilators when needed.
• Provide emergency assistance under supervision and notify RN/physician of patient changes.
• Support and document patient and family education and maintain the EHR.
• Coordinate communications among care team and EMS, ensuring safe transfer and treatment.
