Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Full-time Paramedic to join the Emergency Department at Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Wisconsin. The role focuses on patient assessment, medication administration under supervision, and rapid emergency support.

You will collaborate with physicians, RNs, and EMS to ensure timely, safe patient care in a fast-paced setting. Qualifications include an accredited EMS program completion and an EMT-Paramedic license with BLS/ACLS/PALS within 6 months if required.

Qualifications

• EMT Paramedic license required; BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be obtained within 6 months unless exempt by leadership.
• Completion of an accredited EMS program is required.
• Typically 1 year of paramedic experience or related clinical experience.
• Basic computer skills and ability to operate electronic health record (EHR) systems; strong communication is expected.

Responsibilities

• Document patient information and communicate observations to the clinician.
• Under supervision, prepare and administer medications.
• Assist with bedside procedures and emergencies as directed.
• Notify RN or physician of patient condition changes.
• Support unit teaching and document in the medical record as appropriate.
• Process charges and related procedures in the EHR; coordinate communications with physicians and EMS.
