Job summary

Alamance County Government seeks a Paramedic to provide high-level emergency care, respond to a variety of medical incidents, and operate on twenty-four hour EMS shifts. This role includes responding with a partner and maintaining readiness of ambulance units.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, NC Paramedic certification, and a valid NC driver's license. Experience as a Paramedic and ongoing education are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Paramedic experience preferred.
• Certification by the State of North Carolina as a Paramedic is required.
• Possession of a valid NC driver's license is required.
• Current EMS certification and ability to attend mandatory continuing education sessions.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency medical calls and provides advanced life support.
• Operates ambulances and maintains readiness of equipment.
• Documents patient care data and coordinates with hospital staff.
• Participates in continuing education to maintain clinical knowledge and licensure.
