Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Attend orientation sessions and maintain EMS certification and required programs.
• Provide out-of-hospital care and safe ambulance transport following protocols and medical command guidance.
• Lift and move patients; lift 125 lbs alone, 250 lbs with assistance.
• Demonstrate clear communication with coworkers, patients, and dispatchers.
• Inspect EMS equipment and ambulances; ensure supplies and fuel are adequate.
• Respond to emergency calls and event stand-by duties; operate in varied conditions.
• Document patient information using an approved EMS record system.
• Maintain professional appearance and decorum and adhere to privacy and HIPAA requirements.
