Job summary

Talentify in Graham, NC seeks a Paramedic to provide high-level emergency care on a 24-hour EMS shift, responding with partner EMS personnel and performing ALS/BLS procedures and patient transport.

Responsibilities include equipment readiness, patient care documentation, airway/IV access, medication administration, and coordination with hospital staff. The role requires NC Paramedic certification and a valid NC driver’s license, with continuing education as required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required, and some experience as a Paramedic; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possession of a valid NC driver's license is required.
• Certification by the State of North Carolina as a Paramedic.
• Required to attend mandatory continuing education sessions provided by the department.
• Computer Skills: Prior experience with data entry and computers preferred.
• Prior Microsoft Windows usage preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency calls for medical illnesses, traumatic injuries, vehicle crashes, fires, and natural or man-made disasters.
• Responds with a partner EMT, Advanced EMT, or Paramedic to life threatening conditions, stabilizes and treats symptoms, and monitors the patient until transfer to hospital personnel.
• Monitors, maintains and inspects ambulance units for readiness and inventory.
• Operates emergency medical vehicle to and from scene.
• Records patient care data and information, documenting reactions to treatment.
• Initiates patient treatment and care utilizing protocol treatment including defibrillation, airway management, IV/IO access, and medication administration.
• Transports and transfers patients safely using stretcher and loading systems.
• Prepares patient care reports for data collection and billing.
• Maintains contact with dispatch and hospital facilities.
• Initiates advanced and basic life support per protocols.
