Job summary

Harris Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Paramedic for a PRN role in Sylva, NC. Shifts vary (24 or 12 hours) with rotating weekends and on-call coverage. You will respond to emergencies, deliver advanced and basic life support, and ensure unit readiness and equipment management.

Minimum qualifications include a NC Paramedic license, CPR and ACLS/ALS/PALS certifications, and 2 years of full-time paramedic experience. Competitive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
• Current North Carolina Paramedic certification; National Registry preferred.
• Two years' experience as a full-time Paramedic desired.
• CPR certification from recognized bodies (AHA/ARC/ASHI/HSI).
• ACLS/ALS certification from recognized bodies (AHA/ARC/ASHI/HSI).
• PALS/PEPP certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies and non-emergencies with rapid, calm action.
• Provide advanced and basic life support and ensure unit readiness per shift.
• Manage schedules and coverage when staff are unavailable.
