Qualifications

• Requires paralegal certificate, or JD, or currently attending ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study
• At least two years of litigation paralegal experience is required; trial experience is very helpful
• At least one year of experience in automated litigation support. Requires sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw
• Hands-on familiarity with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and discovery platforms
• Ability to adjust to changing priorities and work under pressure

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, accurate paralegal support reporting to the OGC and assist LITB or IALB
• Research and locate responsive information documents; identify relevant laws and decisions
• Perform parap le gal functions: complex research, synopsizing transcripts, reviewing materials
• Draft preliminary legal memoranda and correspondence; assist in preparing draft documents
• Review discovery materials for relevancy and privilege; prepare privilege logs
• Maintain case management records; generate status updates and reports
• Assist in drafting and issuing preservation notices and litigation holds
• Coordinate with subject matter experts on classification reviews and overlays
• Collaborate with discovery team; provide consultation on privilege and document production
