Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Paralegal to support a national counsel team on automobile insurance defense matters including MFR claims and docketing. The role requires strong organization, detail orientation, and the ability to work across multiple offices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience with automobile insurance defense, including minimum financial responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to attorneys in all aspects of MFR claim management and litigation, including investigation, medical record review, docketing and case deadline management, and drafting litigation documents and client reporting.
• Prepare materials for and assist in preparation for depositions, hearings, and trials and related proceedings, and attend if needed.
• Prepare draft pleadings and discovery.
• Coordinate filing of pleadings/documents and arrange for service.
• Collect and summarize medical and/or other records.
• Assist with calendaring/docketing.
• Work with attorneys in multiple offices.
• Maintain professional demeanor and attitude.
• Comply with firm policies.
• Sustain attention to detail and quality of work.
• Learn/develop technical proficiency in database use and management; internet/electronic research; and project folder/electronic file maintenance.
• Independently organize and manage files.
• Anticipate attorney needs.
• Independently handle all key duties without supervision of another Paralegal or Senior Paralegal.
• Familiarity and experience with adopting legal AI and ability to learn and implement new AI preferred.
• Meet billable hour requirement of 1500 hours per year.
• Perform other duties as required.
