Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a current resident of Wisconsin.
• Valid Wisconsin Driver's License and access to reliable transportation.
• Associate degree in paralegal or related field or Paralegal certificate with 1 year of experience.
• Basic knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets and e-courts.

Responsibilities

• Interview participants face-to-face or by phone and review data to determine next actions such as paternity establishment and order establishment.
• Draft pleadings, motions, orders, income withholding notices and other legal documents.
• Update case records and communicate with parties via telephone, email or letter; manage sanctions as appropriate.
• Investigate systems like OnBase, KIDS/wiKIDS, CARES and the internet for current demographic information.
• Prepare for hearings and ensure files are complete; serve documents to advance establishment processes.
