Job summary

Kenosha County is seeking a compassionate Child Support Specialist to join the Child Support Services team. The role uses investigative and case-management skills to establish, collect, modify, and enforce support orders, locating absent parents and coordinating with courts and state systems.

Applicants should have an associate degree in human services (or related field) with 1–2 years in a publicly funded agency; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in human services or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in a publicly funded agency or field related to Human Services.
• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish paternity and child support orders through court actions.
• Locate non-custodial parents using state systems and databases.
• Enforce child support orders via judicial/administrative actions.
• Communicate with parents, caretakers, and partner agencies.
• Maintain documentation and prepare legal pleadings.
• Support families with safety resources and referrals.
