Job summary

Racine County is seeking a position within the Office of Child Support Services to initiate and establish paternity, child support, and medical support while enforcing orders throughout IV-D cases. This role requires judgment, initiative, and knowledge of OCSS responsibilities.

Responsibilities include reviewing data systems, communicating with families and employers, locating income/assets, and preparing legal documents for court filings and enforcement actions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; experience conducting interviews and gathering information preferred.
• Experience using personal computer and Microsoft Office programs is expected.
• Ability to maintain a large volume caseload in an organized, professional manner and to exercise professional judgment.

Responsibilities

• Review child support data systems for referrals and determine appropriate services for IV-D cases.
• Communicate with custodial and non-custodial parents and other stakeholders to gather needed information.
• Locate income and assets information from employers and records to support enforcement/modification.
• Prepare legal documents and correspondence for child support, paternity, and court matters.
