Overview

Dooley Noted Law is seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our growing legal team. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working from home while maintaining an in-office presence in Waco, TX as needed.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting attorneys in Estate Planning and Probate, Civil Litigation, and Family Law matters. This position requires strong client communication skills, the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently, and a proactive approach to keeping matters organized and moving forward.

This role provides the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment while maintaining the independence needed to manage day-to-day case responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Assist attorneys in managing cases from intake through resolution, ensuring files are organized, updated, and progressing appropriately.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients regularly to gather information, provide updates, and ensure a professional and supportive client experience.
  • Document Preparation: Draft, format, and file legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and estate planning materials.
  • Calendar and Deadline Management: Track important deadlines, court dates, and appointments to ensure timely case progression.
  • Legal Support: Assist with document collection and case preparation for hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
  • File Organization: Maintain accurate electronic and physical case files in accordance with firm procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys and staff to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and high-quality client service.
  • Technology Use: Utilize case management systems and legal software, including WealthCounsel when applicable.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience.
  • Experience in Estate Planning and Probate, Civil Litigation, and Family Law required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with client communication and case management required.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Starting Range - $20-$25/HR - DOE
  • Contract or W2 options available
  • Hybrid work schedule (remote with required in-office presence in Waco, TX)
