Job summary

Springfield, IL is home to a well-established law firm seeking a Paralegal to join its Personal Injury team. The position offers up to $60,000 per year, based on experience, and involves supporting attorneys, managing case files, and assisting with client intake.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. Benefits include Medical Insurance, Retirement Plan, and PTO. Prior paralegal or legal assistant experience is preferred, with strong organizational and communication skills essential.

Qualifications

• Personal injury experience is a plus, but not required

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion

Responsibilities

• Conduct client intake and gather information for new cases
• Request, track, review, and organize medical records and billing documents
• Maintain case files and ensure accurate documentation throughout the life of each case
• Draft correspondence, legal documents, and reports
• Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and other parties involved in cases
• Assist attorneys with case preparation, deadlines, and administrative support
• Monitor case progress and help ensure timely movement of files
