Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join a growing team in Minneapolis. The role involves handling cases from intake to resolution, communicating with clients and insurers, gathering medical records, and assisting attorneys with pleadings, discovery, and settlement.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of PI paralegal experience, strong organizational skills, and a client-focused approach.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a Personal Injury Paralegal or in a similar plaintiff-side personal injury role.
  • Strong understanding of the personal injury claims and litigation process.
  • Experience handling medical records, bills, insurance information, and settlement documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities independently.
  • Professional, compassionate, and client-focused approach.
  • Litigation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from intake through settlement or resolution
  • Communicate regularly with clients, insurance carriers, attorneys, medical providers, and other involved parties
  • Gather, organize, and maintain medical records, bills, reports, and other case documentation
  • Assist with drafting and preparing demand packages, correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and other legal documents
  • Monitor case deadlines, appointments, medical treatment, and important case milestones
  • Request and review medical records and billing information
  • Obtain and organize insurance policy information and coverage documentation
  • Assist attorneys with case preparation, settlement negotiations, and litigation support
  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files
  • Coordinate with clients and medical providers to ensure cases progress efficiently
  • Track settlement offers, liens, subrogation claims, and related documentation
  • Provide exceptional client service and keep clients informed throughout the legal process
  • Perform legal research and other administrative or case-related duties as needed
