Job summary

Kamiak High School in Mukilteo, WA is seeking a Paraeducator for a 5-hour daily role (8:15 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.), 180 days per year, with benefits.

Starting immediately, you will assist the teacher in delivering instructional activities and supporting students with diverse learning needs. Experience with children and basic WA paraeducator qualifications are required; experience with disabilities or autism is preferred.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to work with students and support instructional goals.
• Paraprofessional qualifications per WA State requirements.
• Preferred experience with students with disabilities or autism.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students and support a safe learning environment.
• Assist with classroom activities and data collection on student progress.
• Support behavior management and implement instructional strategies.
• Provide clerical support and prepare instructional materials.
• Assist with first aid, personal care, and mobility as needed.
• Assist with bus rides, recess, cafeteria supervision, and crossing guard duties.
• Attend meetings and training to support school initiatives.
