Job summary

Kamiak High School in Mukilteo, WA, is seeking a 1:1 Paraeducator for Kamiak High School. The position is 6.5 hours per day, 180 days per year, with an additional hour of bus riding time for the 26-27 year, totaling 7.5 hours. The anticipated start date is as soon as possible. Hours are 6:30 a.m.

to 2:30 p.m. with bus pickups and returns around 6:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The successful candidate will assist a student requiring 1:1 support under the teacher’s direction and may support with IEP goals

Qualifications

• Meets WA state paraeducator qualifications and experience with children.
• Experience with students with disabilities or autism preferred; Safety Care trained.
• Education options include associate degree or equivalent credits or approved assessments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in various settings (recess, cafeteria, library, bus).
• Assist with instructional delivery and planning under teacher guidance.
• Administer basic first aid and provide physical support as needed.
• Assist with crossing guard duties before/after school.
• Maintain student data, track progress and assist with behavior management.
