Job summary

Mount Vernon School District 320 is seeking a Paraeducator for the 18-22 Community Transitions Program at Mount Vernon High School in Mount Vernon, WA. The role involves supporting high-need students under the supervision of teachers and a building principal.

You will implement social and behavioral programs, prepare materials, track progress, and work collaboratively with staff across settings. The position is 180 days, 6.5 hours per day, with SEBB benefits and eligibility for retirement after

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of college or an associate degree preferred.
• Spanish bilingual preferred and/or may be required.
• Must obtain Right Response Certification or equivalent.
• Interest in working with students with disabilities is required.
• Proficient with Google apps and Chromebooks.
• Strong communication and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support students in educational needs in various settings.
• Assist in implementing social skills and behavioral programs.
• Prepare materials and maintain records on student progress.
• Deliver lessons under supervision and show flexibility.
• Collaborate with students and professionals in general education settings.
• Provide supervision for program students in non-academic settings.
• Support students in personal areas as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
