Job summary

Mount Vernon School District 320 Jefferson Elementary in Mount Vernon, Washington is seeking a Paraeducator for the Special Education Resource Room to support classroom teachers and students. The position runs 180 days, 8am-3pm and offers eligibility for SEBB benefits.

Qualifications

• AA degree or higher or two years of college (72 quarter credits).
• Ability to meet state reading, math and writing standards (para-educator assessment).
• Experience with high school age students and with special needs students preferred.

Responsibilities

• IEP Transition Support: plan and anticipate monthly transition IEPs.
• Post School Report: assist in information gathering from students before graduation.
• Prepare invitation information sheets for IEP/rew eval meetings with secretary assistance.
• Assist with IEP online student evaluations and program documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
