Job summary

Cerbat Elementary in Kingman, AZ is seeking a Paraeducator II to support students in special education resource rooms and related programs. You will work under the supervision of a classroom teacher, providing instructional and clerical support and assisting with assessments and records.

This 9-month, 32-hour per week position offers medical benefits and requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus competency exam or 60 college credits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• AA degree, 60 college credits from an accredited university, or satisfactory results on an Arizona state-approved competency exam (ParaPro).
• Satisfactory criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Respond to internal and external customers promptly and politely.
• Instructing individuals or small groups under supervision to reinforce material.
• Assist with assessments, grading papers and records under teacher supervision.
• Distribute and collect worksheets and materials for instruction.
• Develop bulletin boards and classroom displays.
• Supervise students during drills, field trips, and activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
