Job summary

Snohomish School District is seeking a Paraeducator A - Overload Support for the 2026-2027 school year. The role focuses on supporting the elementary educational process under the Building Administrator and includes lunchroom supervision as a special duty. Hours are 11:30 a.m.

to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for one paid hour per day, with a 9-month calendar and 10 paid holidays. Eligibility requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus one of several education/assessment options, and

Job Summary:Under the direction of the Building Administrator is responsible for supporting the elementary educational process. Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job description. This is a temporary position for the 2026-2027 school year.

Special Duties/Responsibilities: Lunchroom supervision

Salary Range: $27.38 - $31.13 Paraeducator A per 2026-27 Public School Employees Salary Schedule.
Above pay rates do not include holiday and pay in lieu of vacation, which increases the hourly compensation

Work Schedule:

• Shift: Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
• Paid Hours: 1 hour per day
• Calendar: 9 months/year; enjoy time off during spring break, winter break and summer, plus 10 paid holidays.

Qualifications:

• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and meet one (1) of the following:
  • Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or
  • Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university; or
  • Passed one of the following Professional Educator Standards Board approved assessments:
    • ETS ParaPro Assessment Score of 455 or higher ( https://www.ets.org/parapro )
    • Para Pathways Score of 324 in Reading and Writing and a Score of 325 in Mathematics
    • Pearson Paraprofessional AssessmentScore of 220 or higher
    • Master Teacher Inc. Paraeducator Training Program Score of 65% or higher
• Upon hire, must completethe Fundamental Course of Study (FCS)-Paraeducator Certificate.
• Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position.
