Job summary

Snohomish School District is seeking a Paraeducator A for overload support for the 2026-2027 school year. This temporary role involves lunchroom supervision and supports the elementary educational process under the Building Administrator’s direction.

Pay ranges from $27.38 to $31.13 per hour and benefits may apply for eligible positions. Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m., 1 paid hour daily, with a 9-month school calendar and 10 paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher.
• Pass one of the approved paraeducator assessments (ParaPro 455+, Para Pathways 324/325, Pearson 220+, Master Teacher 65%+).
• Upon hire, complete the Fundamental Course of Study (FCS)-Paraeducator Certificate.
• Ability to meet the qualifications listed in the job description.

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Building Administrator is responsible for supporting the elementary educational process. Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job description. This is a temporary position for the 2026-2027 school year.

Special Duties/Responsibilities: Lunchroom supervision

Salary Range: $27.38 - $31.13 Paraeducator A per 2026-27 Public School Employees Salary Schedule. Above pay rates do not include holiday and pay in lieu of vacation, which increases the hourly compensation.

Work Schedule:

• Shift: Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.


• Paid Hours: 1 hour per day


• Calendar: 9 months/year; enjoy time off during spring break, winter break and summer, plus 10 paid holidays.

Qualifications:

• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and meet one (1) of the following:
  
  
  
  • Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or
  
  
  • Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university; or
  
  
  • Passed one of the following Professional Educator Standards Board approved assessments:

    • Para Pathways Score of 324 in Reading and Writing and a Score of 325 in Mathematics
