Job summary

Snohomish School District is looking for a paraeducator at Glacier Peak High School to support the elementary educational process under the direction of the Building Administrator and classroom teacher.

Responsibilities include assisting in the Family and Consumer Science lab, lunch supervision, purchasing and stocking materials, and other duties as assigned, with a 7:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. shift.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and meet one of the listed criteria.
• Provide First Aid CPR certification upon hire.
• Complete the FCS-Paraeducator Certificate after hire.

• Assist in the Career and Technical Education program at Valley View Middle School with labs and prep.
• Lunch supervision and other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Building Administrator and classroom teacher is responsible for supporting the elementary educational process. Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job descriptions.

Salary Range

$27.38 - $31.13 per hour Paraeducator A per 2026-27 Public School Employees Salary Schedule

Above pay rates do not include holiday and pay in lieu of vacation, which increases the hourly compensation

Special Duties

Provide support for Career and Technical Education (CTE) program at Valley View Middle School. Responsibilities include assisting in the Family and Consumer Science Department with shopping, purchasing and stocking materials, organizing lab and prep/tear down. Also includes lunch supervision and other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
• Lunch Break: 30 minutes, unpaid break
• Calendar: 9 months/year; enjoy time off during winter break, spring break and summer, plus 10 paid holidays

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and meet one (1) of the following:
• Have received a score of 455 on the ETS ParaPro ( https://www.ets.org/parapro ),or a qualifying score on the Pearson Paraprofessional assessmentor Master Teacher Inc. Paraeducator Training Program;
• Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or
• Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university.
• Upon hire, must completethe Fundamental Course of Study (FCS)-Paraeducator Certificate.
• Upon hire, obtain First Aid CPR certification.
• Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position.
