Job summary

Everett Public Schools is seeking a paraeducator to support students within the Achieve program, assisting with IEP goals, health plans, and behavior interventions. This role may involve transport-related duties and close collaboration with special education staff.

Responsibilities include supporting academic and behavioral goals, implementing intervention plans, and ensuring safe, respectful interactions with students across various settings.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Ability to assist with behavior and social needs.
• Familiarity with health plans and, if applicable, medical delegations.

Paraeducator responsibilities may include:

• Supporting the implementation of Individualized Educational Plan
• Academic, behavior/social, and/or adaptive needs
• Assisting implementation of Behavior Intervention plan
• Assisting in the health plan, toileting plan, and/or medical delegations depending on students' individualized plan
• May require Right Response training; depending on program and student needs
• May require riding the bus with a student

Achieve Program

The Achieve program supports students with either a health impairment or social/emotional behavior disability that adversely affects the student's educational performance. These classrooms are designed for students who need support in learning behavioral controls so that they can access learning opportunities. Each student has a Functional Behavior Assessment and Behavior Intervention Plan. Classes are structured so that teachers can work individually with each child's particular needs in this area.
