Job summary

Everett Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator (Special Education) to support students with individualized plans and assist in implementing education, behavioral, and health supports.

The role includes helping implement IEPs, supporting academic and adaptive needs, and may involve health plan duties and bus assistance as needed. Collaboration with the education team is essential to provide consistent, compassionate support to students.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students under Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Ability to assist with academic, behavior/social, and/or adaptive needs.
• Familiarity with health plans and related student supports.

Responsibilities

Achieve Program

The Achieve program supports students with either a health impairment or social/emotional behavior disability that adversely affects the student's educational performance. These classrooms are designed for students who need support in learning behavioral controls so that they can access learning opportunities. Each student has a Functional Behavior Assessment and Behavior Intervention Plan. Classes are structured so that teachers can work individually with each child's particular needs in this area.
