Job summary

Pratt Industries’ Paper Mill in Ohio is seeking a Mechanical Technician to maintain reliability and uptime across our paper production processes. You’ll work a rotating 24/7 schedule, gaining hands-on experience with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment operation under the Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent.

This role requires a post-secondary degree or technical training and the ability to read blueprints and manuals.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or technical training (2–4 years).
• Computer/data entry skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance to maximize process uptime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, Genie lifts, hoists, and cranes safely.
• Read blueprints, manuals, and process literature.
• Repair or replace components as needed.
• Document maintenance activities accurately.
