Job summary

Ecolab offers an 11-week paid internship for Paper & Pulp Engineering Technical Sales Interns. You will partner with Field Sales Representatives to learn account management, customer service, and how technical expertise supports customers and drives business in the Paper & Pulp industry.

The program blends engineering with a consultative sales approach, building long-term relationships and preparing you for a potential full-time Associate District Representative role after graduation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergraduate degree in Engineering graduating December 2027 or Summer 2028.
• Immigration sponsorship not available for this role.
• 11‑week paid internship program, starting on Tuesday, June 1st.
• Position requires a valid US Driver’s License and acceptable motor vehicle record and access to a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Complete an independent project(s) under primary trainer’s direction to yield calculated ROI.
• Complete safety training & technical lessons that serve as an introduction to water treatment applications.
• Observe and participate in service as it is provided to customers to assure accurate chemical application, process optimization and documentation.
• Complete introductory training of the consultative sales approach.
• Visit multiple customer sites across the region (40-60% of training time spent in field) to learn best practices and types of unit applications and treatment approaches.
• Build key relationships and interaction with departments and personnel that will be critical to success in the field.
• Work within various regional sales districts and customer locations to build specific technical knowledge and gain sales experience while helping customers achieve their sustainability goals.

Education

Undergraduate Engineering degree (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, Industrial or related)
