Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Paper Area Operating Superintendent to oversee the paper machine operations within the Toledo containerboard team. You will lead operators and maintenance staff, drive safety, quality, and production targets, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Oversee the operation of the paper machine to ensure safety, quality and production targets are met.
Monitor machine performance and identify production issues, taking corrective actions as necessary.
Manage maintenance activities to meet availability targets and support continuous improvement.
Implement process improvements to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Manage the asset cost plan and identify cost-saving measures.
Provide coaching and training to supervisors and hourly operators.
Ensure compliance with product safety and product stewardship and address customer feedback.
Review production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
