Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC in Rincon, Georgia, is seeking an Operations Manager for our paper mill, leading the Pulp and Power departments in a continuous manufacturing environment and driving continuous improvement.

You will report to the Mill Manager and lead a salaried and hourly workforce while upholding PBM principles, safety, and environmental compliance to improve reliability and production across the facility.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing people leaders in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Experience driving process transformation with measurable results.
• Experience developing and executing strategies for short- and long-term development of people, processes, and projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead operating departments to maintain safe, incident-free workplaces and mitigate hazards.
• Direct work processes for complex operations including pulp mill, steam turbine, and related equipment.
• Apply PBM® principles to develop skills of employees and improve department and facility performance.
• Communicate and align safety, quality, production, and reliability goals across departments.
• Identify constraints to reduce waste and improve current capability and competitive position.
• Plan and coordinate scheduled shutdowns, operator training, maintenance, and capital projects.
• Provide daily support and technical expertise to operators and maintenance personnel.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to apply reliability principles and optimize resources.
