Job summary

Green Bay Packaging Inc. is seeking an Assistant Paper Machine Superintendent to lead daily production with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality at the Green Bay mill.

You will drive process improvements, collaborate across departments, and manage maintenance budgeting and shutdowns. The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or related field and at least five years of management experience in the paper industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Paper Science or related field.
• Five years paper industry experience in a management position.
• Strong knowledge of paper machine operations and supporting systems.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Competencies in conflict management, negotiation, organization, analysis, and decision making.
• Ability to delegate, lead, and train key personnel.
• Ability to coordinate with other departments to meet company goals and drive results.
• Experience managing safety, environmental, vendors, production, purchasing, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; capable of conveying complex process data.

Responsibilities

• Optimize daily production operations with focus on safety, environmental stewardship, profitability and productivity.
• Increase process reliability, improve product quality, and enhance efficiency through trials and optimization.
• Collaborate with area superintendents and maintenance on day-to-day operations.
• Assist in short and long-term maintenance budgeting.
• Assist in shutdown scheduling and coordination.
• Support shift supervisors and production crews in daily operations.
• Participate in rotating weekend duty schedule for the Operations area.
