Job summary
Green Bay Packaging is seeking an Assistant Paper Machine Superintendent to drive operational best practices, safety, and efficiency across daily production. Reporting to the Paper Machine Superintendent, you will lead process improvements, capital planning, and cost projects while coordinating with maintenance and other departments.
The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering or Paper Science, with at least five years in paper industry management, strong leadership, analytical
Qualifications
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Paper Science or related field.
- Five years paper industry management experience.
- Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Optimize daily production operations with focus on safety, environment, profit and productivity.
- Increase process reliability, product quality and efficiency via trials, equipment optimization and education.
- Collaborate with area superintendents and maintenance on day-to-day operations.
- Assist in short and long-term maintenance budget planning.
- Assist in shutdown scheduling and coordination.
- Support shifts and production crews in daily operations.
- Participate in a rotating weekend duty schedule for the Operations area.
