Job summary

Quipt Home Medical is seeking a Patient Service Technician to deliver and set up DME and respiratory equipment for home care patients. You will educate patients on proper use, ensure safety, and act as the company’s primary customer liaison during service visits.

The role involves driving, on-site equipment setup, maintenance, and adherence to regulatory guidelines. A high school diploma and two years HME/DME experience are required, with a strong customer service orientation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent customer relations, communication and teaching skills.
• Excellent driving record.
• Two years of HME/DME experience.
• Delivery and stockroom experience.
• Computer skills helpful.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up and pick up DME equipment, supplemental oxygen products, and supplies to home care patients and commercial accounts within a prescribed geographical area.
• Organize and load product for efficient delivery routes.
• Complete deliveries, new patient set ups and equipment returns safely per guidelines; contact customer if delays occur.
• Practice safe driving habits and coordinate delivery routes with dispatch.
• Maintain proper hand hygiene, PPE usage and infection control measures.
• Assist with equipment assembly and prep new setup packets.
• Provide patient orientation on equipment use and care; identify opportunities to suggest additional products or services.
• Collect payments when applicable and complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with customers.
