Job summary

Ruth's Chris Steak House in Wilkes-Barre, PA is seeking a pantry cook to portion, prepare and assemble cold items, salads and desserts with precision and pace.

You will follow recipe cards, maintain the pantry station, coordinate with food runners and expeditor to ensure timely service, and uphold cleanliness and food safety standards for every shift.

Mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays may be required to support busy dining periods and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months pantry or salad cook experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for up to eight hours.
• English communication required; ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble cold items, salads, cold appetizers and desserts.
• Set up pantry station with equipment, ingredients, garnishes and supplies.
• Assist kitchen staff and prep products according to Ruth's Chris recipes.
• Cook and plate to meet company specifications, timing and presentation.
• Maintain sanitation, safety and back-up stock levels throughout shift.
• Coordinate with food runners and expeditor for timely service.
