Job summary

Ruth’s Chris Steak House is seeking a pantry/salad cook for its kitchen. You will portion, prepare and assemble cold items, salads, cold appetizers and desserts, ensuring all food meets Ruth’s Chris standards and timing for service.

The role requires at least 6 months’ pantry or salad cook experience, ability to work nights and weekends, and good English communication. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and thrive in a high-volume, upscale environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience as pantry or salad cook in a full-service or fine dining restaurant.
• Experience with fresh products preferred.
• Minimum 100 covers per shift.
• Ability to understand communication in English.
• Position requires nights, weekends and holidays availability.

Responsibilities

• Set up pantry station with cold items, prep equipment, plateware, garnishes and supplies.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, procedures and timing to meet quality standards.
• Rotate and restock pantry items and maintain back-up par levels.
• Maintain sanitation, cleanliness and food safety in the work area.
• Complete station closing duties and assist with closing tasks.
