Job summary

Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Wilmington, NC seeks a pantry cook to portion, prepare and assemble cold items, salads, cold appetizers and desserts. This role ensures all food meets Ruth’s Chris quality standards and timings.

The candidate will set up the pantry, work with the kitchen team to prep, cook to recipes, coordinate with food runners, and maintain sanitation and safety throughout service. Night/weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience as a pantry or salad cook in a fine dining or upscale setting.
• Experience with fresh products preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Reports to work on time and works on the pantry station as scheduled.
• Sets up pantry with cold items, equipment, and supplies per prep lists.
• Assists kitchen staff with prep and follows recipe cards and standards.
• Prepares and cooks food to meet company specifications and timing.
• Maintains sanitation and safe food handling throughout the shift.
• Completes closing duties and coordinates with Chef on Duty.
